(Lamb shoulder Marsala with green beans and parmasean mashed potatoes)
For those of you that know me, I am not big on chain restaurants. But I think Carraba's Marsala sauce is one of a kind! So I found 2 recipes online, tried them both (with necessary adjustments), and my taste buds decided that this recipe was the "make you slap your mama!" I have used this recipe with lamb shoulder and chicken and it hasn't failed me yet. Try it and tell me what you think!
Ingredients:
meat (lamb, chicken, veal steak)
mushrooms
onions (or shallots) chopped
1/4 cup dry Marsala
1/2 cup heavy cream
lemon juice
butter
salt
pepper
oregano
1. cook meat in skillet. for chicken till competely done. for steak, veal, and lamb cook till desired doneness!
2. remove meat, add butter, saute mushrooms and onions.
3. add Marsala and bring to a boil, scraping all browned bits of delishisnous from the bottom of the pan.
4. add cream, stir
5. add lemon juice and remaining seasonings to taste.
6. return meat to pan and coat with sauce, or serve as a topping.
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
